I am having a problem where when I tried to update my database, I get SQL Error:

error occurred at recursive SQL level 1
ORA-01000: maximum open cursors exceeded

I tried looking into init.ora but there is no OPEN_CURSOR parameter! Please help. Thanks

again check it.it should be there.
if it is there increase that amount.or else you put the entry
open_cursors=200
