Hey!
I use Apache/Tomcat as my web server. In a servlet file i try to pass an object/value through session.putValue() method and retrive the object in a Jsp file by session.getValue() . But!!! im not able to get the value through that session. :(
On the other hand when i call a jsp file from another jsp file and pass some object/value, im able to retrive it thro session.
Anybody there to help me out ???

Arun

HttpSession.getValue(), like HttpSession.setValue() and HttpSession.removeValue(), has been deprecated. It could be that the implementation of those methods is not perfect. I'm using heavily the session scope to pass objects between servlets and jsps, and I've never had any problem. I'm using Apache with Tomcat 3.2.1.
