Hello,

I'm wondering if anyone has done performance benchmarks regrading Eclipse development on dual-core vs. single-core systems (running Windows XP).

My procurement department doesn't think we need dual core, but I'm thinking that it would be way faster when running tomcat and eclipse at the same time.

The slick color brochure tells me that a dual core runs everything twice as fast a single core. [/shrug] I'm not upgrading myself... no idea what I'd do with all the extra time.
