We are using ttconnect and RMI to lookup security information. I have 3 RMI lookup registered and used in this program. Each of them is a different type of lookup. The first time it is invoked it goes to the database and executes a query for the lookup. After wards it is cached and a memory lookup. Apart from that ttconnect uses rmi too.
