package XYZ contains A.class B.class C.class We packaged them in a jar. We created XYZ.jar and XYZ-signed.jar inside XYZ.jar we had put only A.class and B.class and inside XYZ-signed.jar we had put only C.class As the name indicates XYZ-signed.jar is signed using jarsigner tool When we are running our GUI application we get the following error whenever C.class has to be loaded: "SecurityException:signer information does not match signer info of other classes in same package" JDK Information: Java(TM) 2 Runtime Environment, Standard Edition (build 1.5.0_06-b   More>>

This is not the normal behavior as there has already a bug posted in Sun Micro for jdk1.3.x whose status shows is fixed. This means that there is a problem with jdk1.5.x

yes, and? I think it is behaving correctly, in not allowing what you are trying to do? I think you'll need to use a different package name, for your unsigned classes?
