Howto remove a logger instance at runtime ?

Hi,


For the needs of my webApp, i have to reload a Log4j configuration at runtime.



Removing appenders works perfectly (via removeAllAppenders() on Logger object).


But, no way to remove a Logger instance.



I know that this kind of question has been already submitted on the Log4j Apache FAQ (http://logging.apache.org/log4j/docs/faq.html#3.2).



Is there a workaround ?

Log-4j is an open source code. Look at the code and override the needed functionality and put modified and newly added classes in Log-4j-ext.jar.
