Hi, Complete novice in this area: I have installed tomacat 5.5.9 and an application that runs on it. The app works perfectly with the address http://localhost:8080/appname. I want to make this application available to the WWW but don't know what to do. My PC (XP) has been assigned a Public IP and traffic through port 80 is allowed. When I put in http://my.IP.num.ber I just get a 'page not found'. I have added the subdirectory where my app is and even the entire URL to the login.jsp. None of this works. Is there something on the tomcat admin side I must do to tell the WWW that the IP address should point to my webapp? Thanks, Aidan    More>>

Hi,

I really don't know the answer to this and would like to know this myself.

-->Would I be correct in assuming that the place to start configuring this would be server.xml under the ${tomcat_home}/conf/ directory?

---->If so, then is it the virtual hosts that we have to some how set up?

------->If so then how?

Thanks :)
