hi
i am very new to Cipher. I want to know that, does Cipher is work with the customized algorithm. ie if i have written one algorithm "MYALG". can i use this while instatiating the Cipher.getInstance("MYALG");?

It's possible. Read up on it at Sun's site, start with How to Implement a Provider for the Java Cryptography Architecture and the API docs for java.security and javax.crypto packages.
