I have bunch of XML files and I want to develop a keyword based search engine which parses those XML files.

Do you have any idea which is the best way to do the job? I mean on Linux?

Should I use PHP? JAVA? Python??

Please let me know. I am very new to everything in this domain.

Thanks

Varun

Hopefully I will be gng with Lucene.
If there is any other software which can do the same task efficiently, kindly let me know.

Thanks,

Definitely not Java plus Xalan and XSLT, since it would be too slow.

Perl is the text process king! I would try perl first.

I'd probably use Java plus Xalan and XSLT.

You should never use PHP. No matter the case.

Try perl.
