Hello,

Is there a way to use Struts so that Forms do not have to use the name attribute. The name attrinbute has been depreciated by the W3C and therefore fails validation.

This is a major concern as I have a requirement that the site needs to be XHTML 1.0 Strict compliant.

Any workarounds/ideas?

Thanks,
Connor

you should be able to achieve this (according to what i gathered from the struts documentation) by using the html:xhtml tag, see http://struts.apache.org/userGuide/struts-html.html#xhtml.

one way other is to download the struts-html libary source and modify the html:form tag to not show the 'name' attribute. remember, you'll have to change the tag class in the struts-html.tld to point to the modified class. - alan
