Hi,
I am trying to create my own Exception class and I want to inherit it from java.lang.Exception. Do I need to show the java.lang.Exception class in my class diagrams. I want to use it for code generation, is there any other way to do it?

You only have to model that dependency. You dont have to show that in any diagram (it would be useful in some...).
