I am using an e-mail client developed in javamail.

How to check for virus when an attachment is being uploaded or downloaded to the server. In particular is there some specific exe file that can be invoked in the program code at this instant.

If you have purchased a virus checker, and if it comes with a non-GUI executable for this purpose, then use it.


(I don't know of any free virus checkers? would be a lot of work to keep their definitions updated every day)
