We have a windows based network with the clients having their own harddisks and OS loaded on them. The problem statement is : How To detect whether the client has failed to boot. Moreover this detection has to be reported at the server by the client using some mechanism. Can this be done using Java. Plz help. Even an approach towards the problem will be helpful.
