Actors Generalization

I have a doubt about actor´s generalization, i know that you can inherit an actor´s interation with his use cases but a teacher of mine is saying that the UML 1.5 specification is inconsistent cause it´s showing at page 500 that you can generalize actor´s but it´s showing at chapter 2 that you can not. I really think that he´s wrong but I want yours advices before discuss with him.

well, what did you find out? did you look up chapter 2, and p. 500, in the spec?
