I am developing an enterprise project in which i need to
unzip the file which is there on remotesystem.Is
there any way to do that. i am using servlets for the
development of project.

A nice architecture would involve a program on the system where the zip file is. That program would listen for a message on a port (Java is really cool for stuff like this). Upon receiving the message from the servlet, the program would call one of the Java apis for unzipping, or call a shell program (batch file to Windows people) that unzips the file.
