For each of the following collections, how is performance effected as the size of the collection increases ?



1. ArrayList

2. Hashset

3. Hashmap

4. Treemap




Which is best for handling a small number of objects ?



Which is best for handling a large number of objects ?

I think the aim of introducing the list,set and map are for different purposes and hence you cannot compare a set with a map and a list.




One thing is Hashmap and Treemap can be compared is what I am sure abt .
