In my application I need to execute a function of a
bean on a perticular time like 11 :00 A.M 4:00 PM etc..

I am using tomcat 5.0.

Look into java.util.Timer and java.util.TimerTask -- this may be a more direct solution.

Schedule a client to make a request at those times.
