I have a question on class diagrams.If i'm modelling the manufacturing process of a product in a factory ( say missiles)I need to show a model that will make it easy to locate a raw material , record stock levels etc with the use of scanners. will the scanner be a class on it's own or what?Thanks

Presumably you want to have some kind of class that wraps the access to the scanner?
