I have this product from say company "A" -- which is probably c code.

This product is on SOLARIS SERVER

I have another product from them GUI for windows.

GUI is developed in VB. This GUI interacts with actual product via CORBA transactions.

documentation says -- this product gives corba.idl for anybody to develop client app via corba transactions..
but says -- client can only be developed by ORBIXWEB for JAVA, or orbix c++.

This company is closed now..

I want to understand how i can develop a client app in java..

first I need to understand -- do I need to purchase anything for this??

I have GUI app already doing transactions with the server..

I have server -- it has IONA server stuff up and running..

what I want to understand is -- if we plan to develop client app in java -- can we do this on same solaris server ?? I mean can we use the same IONA client??
How do i know if IONA client is already there on this solaris box or not??
