I have an applet which will connect to sybase database and fetch date. In order for my applet to run, I need to have these files: test.html DisplayApplet.class (which in turn uses the panel mainlogic.class) mainlogic.class jconn2.jar polcy.jp (policy file for permission) This works fine when I put all the files in the same dir appletviewer -J-Djava.security.policy=polcy.jp test.html It fails when I try to open test.html in the browser as it is not able to read the polcy.jp(policy file) can anyone help me to solve this problem Thanks, Bass    More>>

Digitally Sign your applet if you are planning on hosting it on webserver and accessing through broser.

else place the policy file on the local user directory for example

c:documents and settingsass.java directory
