Hi all; I've wrote a simple jsp page and place it in the top level directory of a web-app, The deployment descriptor xml file is written correct( instead of ) but although I've assigned a url pattern and to it,my remapping doesn't work properly.in addition,in the Tomcat log file i see dozens of http status code errors after entering the url pattern which doesn't assist at all.All the servlet remappings work well as long as the servlets are placed in a package. Even the jsp page without remapping(implicit invoking ".jsp" page works fine). The precedence of tags is correct and its really wellformed.I need just one "web.xml" file within one web-app. Any reply would be appreciated.    More>>
