i am connected to the internet by a adsl router (wich is dhcp server too)

my computer have for ip
i can acces my router by the ip

but my internet address is 81.XX.XX.XX

how can i do for getting my internet address from my computer?

if i try with inetaddress ,i can't get the good ip.
InetAddress test = InetAddress.getByName("")
xx =test.getAllbyxx;

You better to tryout some 3rd party programs, which can
trace the website links. for example, webcrowler.

That's not too simple but there are some possibilities:

1) Get the ip address from the routers status page

2) Get the ip address from a web site page that gets the
ip address of the client (you)

In either case you need to write some code to parse these web pages for the address - assuming your router uses a web interface.

The web page in the second option needs to be located on a server on the internet - not the client computer nor a local server on the LAN. You would get the local ip then..

An good example is ddClient for dyndns. See

You can have multiple ip addresses on one machine. The InetAddress should allow you to get all local ip addresses.
