Hi I'm running swiftmq 4.6.0 under Java 1.4.2_02 and Windows 2000 with a heap size of 896MB. I have 1000 durable subscribers and only use pub/sub. Hi

I'm running swiftmq 4.6.0 under Java 1.4.2_02 and Windows 2000 with a heap size of 896MB.

I have 1000 durable subscribers and only use pub/sub.

At about 600 connections (as returned by sys$threadpool/usage/net.connection)

The windows console become unresponsive and the swift clients appear to stall.

Java error as follows:-

java.lang.OutOfMemoryError: unable to create new native thread

at java.lang.Thread.start(Native Method)

at com.swiftmq.impl.threadpool.standard.PoolDispatcher.a(Unknown Source)

at com.swiftmq.impl.threadpool.standard.PoolDispatcher.dispatchTask(Unknown Source)

at com.swiftmq.tools.pipeline.PipelineQueue.startProcessor(Unknown Source)

at com.swiftmq.tools.queue.SingleProcessorQueue.enqueue(Unknown Source)

at com.swiftmq.impl.store.standard.backup.BackupProcessor.close(Unknown Source)

at com.swiftmq.impl.store.standard.StoreSwiftletImpl.shutdown(Unknown Source)

at com.swiftmq.swiftlet.SwiftletManager$SwiftletShutdown.run(Unknown Source)

at java.lang.Thread.run(Thread.java:536)

Does anyone know what this error mean, how to recover from it and prevent it from happening?

I've increase the heap size from my original 512MB and it still occurs. Also the Windows task manager show the VM only using about 500MB prior to this.

Thanks in advance for your help.
