I just installed a Linux box, named RH9 (Redhat 9), and tried to connect my MySQL database in a java program like this, ... Class.forName("com.mysql.jdbc.Driver").newInstance(); connection = DriverManager.getConnection("jdbc:mysql://localhost/property2?user=root&password=pw7"); ... How can it complain like, java.sql.SQLException: Invalid authorization specification: Access denied for user: 'root@RH9' (Using password: YES) It seems that when my username start going with name "root", but somehow it reach mysql with a changed name "root@RH9". How to fix the problem? Thx.    More>>
