So, I'm wandering, is there a way to have a script that executes a command, but doesn't wait for it to finish, but instead goes on executing next command!

Looks like this is purely a Unix shell question (no relation to Java), you can put the command in the background like:

myshell > someFile 2>&1 &

The redirect of output is to prevent myShell's output from
getting mixed in with its paren't output. If you don't care about
myShell's output, you can replace someFile
with /dev/null.
