Schedular that runs java application

I need a schedular that would run periodically and checks for certain thing by running a java application
One more question Is it possible to run a jsp page thru the schedular

cron is the Linux (unix) scheduler. Items that are set to run are put in a crontab. Here is a page that explains how to use it fairly well.


You can use wget or lynx on Linux to fetch a page from a website (JSP) from cron.
