I'm aware of what JMX is for and that's about all I know about it. Never used it, never read much about it except the most superficial of presentations. However, from the litle I read, one question that has come to my mind was if it supported user authentication and authorization. I would like some properties to be readable or writable according to the permissions set by my app to the authenticated user using the management interface.

Any pointers, anyone?
