You need to create a link to the plugin file from the plugins folder.

  1. Get to a command line.

  2. Become superuser using the "su" command.

  3. Navigate to the plugins directory of your Netscape installation

  4. Locate the java plugin, mine is: /usr/java/j2sdk1.4.1/jre/plugin/i386/ns600/libjavaplugin_oji.so

  5. Link that file from your plugin directory: ln -s /usr/java/j2sdk1.4.1/jre/plugin/i386/ns600/libjavaplugin_oji.so libjavaplugin_oji.so
