hi gurus, can anybody throw a light on my program, its very simple but iam new to ant, The job is, I have a java file just says "helloworld", in c:helloworld.java i want to compile it using ant, where i have to set path(javac) for the compiler. after compiling i need to place in c:classfiles iam pasting the lines i did in my buildfile below please check and correct me. <?xml version="1.0"?> destdir="c:/classfiles/" />    More>>

I'm going to refer you to Ant's own documentation for this question as it indicates you are so new to Ant that you need to get the basics down. *.exe is not a reasonable classpath - you either need directories or JAR files referenced there, neither of which you'd need for a simple HelloWorld program that did not need any external libraries.


Also, next time you post, please post the output of your errors in order to have enough information to answer appropriately.
