Hi,

I recently downloaded the evaluation version of Intellij 3.0. I have been testing it for a couple of days and it is really great. However, I would like to be able to view more than one file at the time. I would like to tile the window in two parts and view one file in the left section and one in the right-hand section. How can I do this? I know that you can get two views of the same file at once by dragging the top of the window down a bit. But that doesn't help me.

I am a Emacs user since many years and in Emacs it is easy. Ctrl-x 3.

Thank you for your reply.

Roger

Additionally, I believe there's an add-in or option that causes IntelliJ's editor to act like EMACS.

It's impossible in version IDEA 3.0. But you can put a bookmark to both files (Ctrl+Shift+Number) and switch between them.
