Somebody, plz point me to some source code/examples for using MessageCountAdapter. From the documentation, I find that MessageCountAdapter has an empty constructor and i dont understand how i can tie it to a mail server to listen to MessageCountEvent notifications.

You can add a MessageCountListener. The Adapter is just an empty version of it for you to subclass.
