Tomcat JSP URLs appear to be case-sensitive (presumably because the page name and directory tree form part of the class name). Is it possible to have case-insensitive JSP URLS?

Serge Knystautas

This is a function of whether the underlying OS is case sensitive or not. If you are running on Linux or other Unix variant, your URLs will be case sensitive, and Tomcat will be case sensitive. This is necessary because on these systems, you could have a file called index.jsp and one called Index.jsp. If you are running on Windows, they will be case insensitive.

Also, URLs are supposed to be case sensitive as per the spec, and the fact that they aren't on Windows is an unintended consequence.
