Tokyo. The Indian men’s hockey team defeated Spain 3-0 in their third Pool A match at the Oi Hockey Stadium here on Tuesday. For India, Rupinder Pal Singh (15th and 51st) scored two goals while Simranjit Singh (14th) scored one goal. Rupinder scored one goal from a penalty corner and the other on a penalty stroke while Simranjeet scored a field goal. India got four penalty corners in this match, out of which they could only score in one. Spain, on the other hand, wasted seven penalty corners.
