
With the long-awaited second half of Season 5 nevertheless lacking a release date, Lucifer’s showrunners have announced that Dan will be requiring one of Lucifer’s famous favors, inviting viewers to ponder how this new arrangement could change the dynamic between the detective and the plucky Prince of darkness.
Scoop reporters at TV Line answered fans’ burning questions concerning what plot details, Part two of the Netflix series will attract. 1 fan asked if there were any updates about the evolving relationship between Dan and the charming devil now the former knows the facts about Lucifer’s identity. Upon reaching out to co-showrunners Joe Henderson and Ildy Modrovich, they answered: “There’ll be an episode that brings all of the issues Lucifer and Dan have had over the years into a mind,” raising the question: “What happens with Dan wants a favor from the devil himself?”
Over the course of the series, Dan and Lucifer have had a fraught relationship, contemplating it began with both men vying for the attentions of this smart and dutiful Detective Chloe Decker, who has turned out to be Lucifer’s real love. While the two ex-enemies were laying the groundwork to reconstruct their relationship within the last few seasons, Dan’s discovery that Lucifer had been the devil himself presented a fantastic obstacle to that project. Upon first discovering Lucifer’s ‘devil-face’ in Season 5, Part 1, Chloe’s ex-husband, fellow police detective Daniel Espinoza, responded with fear and panic, even attempting to kill Lucifer at his L.A. penthouse. The altercation resulted in Lucifer finding out he had been once again invulnerable and plotted revenge on Dan… in the form of brainstorming a good prank.

Filming of both Season 6 and 5 was delayed due to this coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. However, filming of Season 5, Part 2 has wrapped and lovers have been expecting that their questions concerning the numerous cliffhangers and obscure teasers will probably be answered with the second half of the year’s release expected sometime in ancient 2021.
The cast returned to place in September of 2020 to begin work on Season 6 that, after a series of negotiations in June, will be the show’s final season.
