
Kick off the WWE RAW show with a tribute to Martin Luther King Day. Randy Orton does a promo in the dark and appears wearing a mask due to the burns suffered by Alexa Bliss last week. Randy says he hears voices in his head and had the time to set Alexa on fire weeks ago but had compassion. my next victim Alexa you’ll end up like a sheep in the slaughterhouse says, Orton. He asks them to look at his face and says that he will never have compassion again because every time he closes his eyes he sees that fireball hitting his face.
Randy adds that the mask he’s wearing explains the pain he’s been enduring since last week. “Despite the agony and what I’ve been through, I’m lucky,” he adds. Orton remembers that he still feels when he burned The Fiend and sent him to hell. “Alexa was the obstacle, and I know what The Fiend wants, to distract me from achieving it,” says Randy just as they broadcast images of him in the Royal Rumble match. Randy says that he can take whatever pain is and that he enjoys it. Strike a match and claim that Royal Rumble will burn, win the match, and go to the Wrestlemania main event.
Charly Caruso interviews Ric Flair and Lacey Evans and asks about their alleged relationship. Lacey says she has a great WWE legend in front of her and should have more respect for them. He continues by saying that he is learning from him and now he will see his friend Peyton Royce meet.
Charlotte Flair vs. Peyton Royce
Peyton Royce attacks Charlotte during her tackle and the referee separates them so she can start the fight. Charlotte throws herself against Peyton dominating the start of the fight with repeated chops. Both take the meeting outside the ring where Peyton tries to escape and reverse the situation but it is impossible. Charlotte applies a Neckbreaker and does the count, but the Ric Flair song plays! who appears with Lacey Evans wearing her robe. Peyton Royce surprises Charlotte with a Superkick and the count remains at 2.
Charlotte is enraged and continues her clear dominance as Lacey Evans and Ric Flair watch the match. New Peyton Superkick that goes up to the corner and throws itself on Charlotte but this reverses and launches it against the corner. Charlotte’s Big Boot to Peyton who knocks her out of the ring and yells at Lacey to go to the ring. Peyton enters the ring and hits Charlotte with repeated kicks and elbows until she looks for a Suplex that Charlotte reverses and applies Figure Eight to win the fight.
Winner: Charlotte Flair
Charlotte does not release Peyton Royce and several referees have to intervene to stop her.
They announce that Alexa Bliss has invited Asuka to Alexa’s Playground before their match. They also add that Xavier Woods will face RETRIBUTION member Mace.
The Hurt Business reaches the arena and bumps into Riddle. He tells Lashley that he was close to defeating him last week and that if he gets another chance he will beat him as he did with MVP. Lashley ends up stepping on Riddle’s foot to retreat. After the commercials, Riddle is in his locker room checking the state of his foot. Lucha House Party shows up and asks him about his match tonight, but Riddle assures them that he’s been through worse than a stomp.
Xavier Woods vs. Mace (with RETRIBUTION)
Ali meets Woods before the match. The encounter begins with a clear physical dominance of Mace despite Woods’ attempts. Chokeslam de Mace continues to dominate the combat. Mace looks for the count several times but Woods reverses the situation with several chops and kicks. Woods applies a Dropkick to Ali and throws Mace out of the ring. Ali orders Mace to finish now and the RETRIBUTION members surround the ring to distract Woods. Sitout Powerbomb and Mace achieves victory.
Winner: Mace
After the fight, Ali with RETRIBUTION yells at the camera that he is waiting for Kofi Kingston.
The RAW Women’s Champion and WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion Asuka is interviewed by Charly Caruso who asks her about Alexa’s invitation to her playground. Asuka says that Alexa looks scary but she’s not scared.
Alexa Bliss makes her entrance to the ring where it is decorated with a slide and a swing. Alexa welcomes you to her playground and says she’d like to talk about “The Viper” first. Alexa says she wanted to talk to him last week but things got hot. Alexa sways and says that when she wants to go dark she will ask Orton for advice. He then introduces his guest, the RAW Women’s Champion and WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion, Asuka, who wants to sit on the swing next to Alexa but is stopped by her. “That’s not your place, getaway. Are you okay?” Says Alexa looking at the swing where there is no one.
Alexa says that before her match against Asuka tonight, she wants to announce that she will be in the Royal Rumble match. Asuka offers to be friends with Alexa but she says to the swing “I think that’s enough, right?”. Alexa yells at Asuka and looks at the swing and tells her she’s sorry, that Asuka doesn’t deserveth
WWE Hall of Famer Jeff Jarrett gives his opinion from home on who will win the WWE Championship match at Royal Rumble. Jeff says that he is clear and will see how Goldberg will apply a Spear and a Jackhammer to Drew McIntyre to become the new champion.
Mandy Rose (with Dana Brooke) vs. Shayna Baszler (with Nia Jax)
The combat begins and Mandy tries to go with everything on Shayna but she completely dominates the combat with different locks and blows. Mandy tries to reverse the situation but Shayna has her under control. Dana Brooke distracts Shayna and Mandy punches her repeatedly in the corner until Shayna reverses and hits her arm to apply the Guillotine Choke and make Mandy perform.
Winner: Shayna Baszler
After the match, Shayna argues with Nia Jax outside the ring and Dana Brooke throws herself from the apron with a Dropkick on Nia to collide with Shayna. Finally, Dana leaves with her partner Mandy Rose.
Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler argue backstage. Charly Caruso interviews them and asks them about their friendship. Shayna says that not even when they were tag team champions did they get along and they never will. He then says that they are going to claim their rematch for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships.
Charlotte Flair is interviewed and they announce that Nia Jax and Shayna have claimed a rematch for the Women’s Couples Championships, but she wants to know how the relationship with her father is. Charlotte says she knows everything Lacey Evans wants to try to get and if she wanted her attention she now has it, but she will never have her crown.
Adam Pearce talks to Ricochet backstage and tells him that he has put him in a fight tonight that can relaunch his career because if he wins he will enter the Royal Rumble. AJ Styles and Omos interrupt and AJ says that last week he stopped Drew Gulak for that opportunity, and this week he will do the same. AJ confronts Ricochet and Ricochet tells him that he will need more than the giant that he carries by his side to prevent him from fighting in the Royal Rumble match. AJ tells Adam Pearce that he doesn’t like him very much, but Amos doesn’t like him at all and he faces Pearce.
Ricochet vs. AJ Styles (with Omos)
The combat begins without a clear dominator and in a very technical way. They both look to finish fast with different variants of Rollups until Ricochet takes control. Dropkick on AJ falling out of the ring. Ricochet wants to throw himself on AJ but ends up on Omos who grabs him and lets him fall. After commercials, Ricochet applies a Hurracarrana to AJ followed by a Lariat and the count remaining at 2.
Ricochet’s German Suplex on AJ ends with a count but AJ escapes. AJ applies a Brainbuster followed by the count remaining at 2 and applies a Neckbreaker immediately after Ricochet. Amos encourages AJ and tries to apply the Forearm but Ricochet reverses with a Codebreaker followed by the count that AJ gets rid of, who throws Ricochet on the upper ropes and with the momentum takes him to apply the Styles Clash and win the fight.
Winner: AJ Styles
With this defeat, Ricochet will not be part of the Royal Rumble match.
The Dirt Sheet segment begins. John Morrison and The Miz introduce themselves, then introduce their guest, Goldberg … but Gillberg shows up! The Miz asks him how he’s prepared his match and Gillberg says he’s stronger and more powerful than ever … Drew McIntyre’s music is playing! and a guy appears dressed as Drew. The Miz says this is amazing. The fake Drew says he’s here to talk face to face with his opponent.
The Miz tells him that if he has something to say to him to do so now. The fake Drew tells Gillberg that he will kick his butt at Royal Rumble. Miz and Morrison discuss how everything is working and finally, The Miz says that Goldberg will not come out as champion at Royal Rumble, nor will Drew McIntyre, because he will exchange his Money in the Bank, “Because I’m Miz ends up saying.
The Lucha House Party (Gran Metalik and Lince Dorado) and Riddle vs. The Hurt Business (Bobby Lashley, Shelton Benjamin, and Cedric Alexander)
Metalik begins the encounter with Cedric and both exchange blows. Shelton asks Cedric for relief but he ignores him. Dorado enters and applies a Hurracarrana to Cedric who now seeks relief from his companions and they deny him. Dorado takes control and Shelton takes over to control the combat. Lashley comes in and hits Dorado with everything but Cedric steals Lashley’s relay and Shelton does the same to Cedric. MVP argues with the three and Cedric steals Shelton’s relay again. Dorado impresses him with a Stunner and Shelton takes over.
Cedric argues with him and ends up throwing him out of the ring for MVP to stop him. After the commercials, Cedric hits Dorado with everything and wants to take over from Shelton who refuses it but Lashley accepts it, who faces his teammates. Shelton enters hitting Dorado with everything and Cedric returns
Winner: Alexa Bliss
After the fight, the sinister look of Alexa Bliss disappears and everything returns to normal. The camera focuses on Alexa, who very seriously closes the show saying with the voice of The Fiend.
