Wu Assassins is an American action television series whose first season was released on August 8, 2019. The show was massively applauded for its martial arts sequences and received a positive response. Here are the details of a possible season two in the making.
Renewal Update
There are no news from Netflix regarding a Season 2 for Wu Assassins. Although for the first season, there was not much publicity and maybe they are following the same route for season two. Mr. Young played by Tzi Ma said in an interview with Digital Spy:
“They’re changing the format. I think they’re going to do two kinds of movies of the week instead of a series.”
Movies are not a bad idea for the story either. Anyway, we hope Netflix makes an announcement soon and gives us hope.
PlotĀ
In Wu Assassins, a Chinatown chef, Kai with a series of dramatic events receives “Wu Xing”. These are elemental powers passed on from elemental warrior monks. A mystical being rewards him with the “Wu Assassin” title. Eventually, Kai uses these powers to fight against organized crimes. Using his martial art skills he takes away supernatural power from criminals and saves the world from their misuse. Season 1 ends with Kai and his peers’ entry to an extra-dimensional place of existence different than the human world. At the end of season one, Kai kills McCollough.
Season 2 will pick up from here. Jenny Wah enters into politics. This will give a different tangent to the story. Also, the history of the previous 997 Wu Assassins will be discovered in Season 2.
