We have analyzed the domestic blu-ray edition of the first part of season six of Vikings , the successful Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer series, created by Michael Hirst (responsible for other successful series such as The Tudors and Elizabeth).
20th Century Studios Home Entertainment is responsible for distributing in physical and digital format season six – first part of Vikings , both on DVD and on blu-ray. Vikings narrates the adventures of the Nordic hero Ragnar Lothbrok (Travis Fimmel) and his five sons, where the former gained immortal fame after traveling the seas and finding new lands to plunder together with his people and family; while his sons will seek revenge for his death, and will try to unite all the Viking tribes of Norway under a single king. The Lothbrok clan embodies the Norse traditions of devotion to the gods, since they claim to be direct descendants of Odin himself, the god of war and father of all Vikings.
So, we begin with the analysis of the first part of the sixth season on blu-ray of Vikings, where all the episodes are available with extended international versions; and that it is completely spoiler free.

Lagertha is the most famous squire maiden in Scandinavia, and her figure for the series came from an investigation by Michael Hirst (creator, showrunner and executive producer of the series), in which he found descriptions of the real Ragnar, in which he also they spoke of their first wife, calling her a great shield maiden. So, both Katheryn Winnick herself and Michael Hirst talk about the evolution of the character, becoming one of the best female characters on contemporary television.
