Developed by Maria Lopez Castano, Valeria is a Spanish comedy-drama streaming television series. It is based on the novel series En los zapatos de Valeris by Elisabet Benavent.
The plot of the series revolves around Valeria (Gomez) who’s a ‘writer in crisis’ struggling to pen her first novel. She’s also going through a rough patch in her marriage and feels that something is missing in it. Her friends Carmen, Lola and Nerea are the ones who help her get through.
Valeria Season 2 Release Date
The comedy-romance series is being continuously compared with “Sex and the City”. The series was successful in catching the audience’s attention. Season one ended with some loopholes and the audience is going crazy to know what happens next. The first season with eight episodes of 45 minutes each was not enough for the viewers.
As usual, Netflix seems to know their audience well, so the show has been renewed for another season. In an Instagram post, Netflix announced the renewal in Spanish. They wrote, “We can confirm that we’ve been caught, and there will be a second season of Valeria.”
Even though the show has been confirmed, no official release date has been announced yet. The current state of Covid-19 pandemic situation release dates is getting pushed back. So, we can only guess the second season to be released at some point of time in 2021.
Valeria Season 2 Cast
The lead protagonist Valeria is played by a native of Barcelona, Diana Gomez. She will undoubtedly be back in her role in the second season. We are expecting the entire cast of the first season to make a rebound. Valeria’s husband Adri played by Ibrahim Al Shami J, is a treat to the eyes with his good looks. The fan-favorite Maxi Iglesias will be returning as the charming Victor. We will most likely see Teresa Riott, Paula Malia and Silma Lopez return as Nerea, Carmen, and Lola Respectively. Some new faces and characters might get added to the existing cast.
What to expect in the Valeria second season?
Throughout the first season, the audience went to and fro from Team Adri to Team Victor. However, what we want to see is Valeria publishing her own book. The first season ended with a bombshell when the publisher wanted to publish her book but as a ghostwriter. So, in the second season, we might get to see if she is able to publish her debut novel. We are also curious to see who will Valeria end up with, Andri or Victor.
