Eagerly Anticipating the release of Netflix’s The Witcher series? Yep, us also.

After the initial season built a huge fan base and smashed records — getting the streaming website’s most-watched introduction ever at the time (an accolade currently held by Bridgerton) — audiences have been waiting for updates since the 2019 finale.

The Witcher Season 2 Release Date

We don’t yet have a definite release date for The Witcher Season two, but we have some idea of if it is due out. Showrunner Lauren Schmidt Hissrich said during a Reddit AMA last year that she anticipates the second season to get there in 2021–although she added that they”don’t wish to hurry the product” because”that does not benefit anybody.”

While you might expect statements created in ancient 2020 about an in-production series’s future release date to not be all that true any more thanks to the global COVID-19 pandemic, we also understand that Netflix was able to resume production in August last year, so it can really be on track still.

The Cast Of The Witchers Season 2

The production of the series declared that the old cast will reprise their roles, Henry Cavill at the role of Rivia, Freya Allen in the role of Princess Cirilla, Anya Chalotra at the function of Yennefer. The makers also announced that there will be an additional cast joining the main cast in season 2 they are, Paul Bullion in the function of Lambert, Yasen Atour in the function of Coen.

The Plot Of The Witcher Season 2

The Witcher Season two will feature Kaer Morhen, a training ground for witchers and Geralt’s childhood home.

Netflix released a formal synopsis to tease what to expect from the Season 2 episodes:

Convinced Yennefer’s life was missing in the Battle of Sodden, Geralt of Rivia brings Princess Cirilla to the safest place he knows, his childhood home of Kaer Morhen. While the Continent’s kings, elves, humans, and demons strive for supremacy outside its walls, he should shield the girl from something a lot more dangerous: the mysterious power she possesses inside.

In the synopsis, it seems like Season 2 will comprise Ciri’s Witcher training will probably be under the tutelage of both Vesemir (a confirmed character).
