“The Tomorrow War”, starring Chris Pratt (Star-Lord in the Marvel Cinematic Universe ), was originally shot for blockbuster cinema. However, when Covid put off many films, Paramount purchased the film from Amazon for $200 million. This is a significant sum, but Amazon can probably afford it. Despite mixed reviews, the science-fiction film appeals to a large audience.

The Tomorrow War 2 Release Date
The official release date of “The Tomorrow War 2”, however, is uncertain. The production of a large project takes time. Therefore, it is possible to release the movie in 2023.
Amazon did not purchase “The Tomorrow War”; however, it bought the rights to a potential sequel. So, the film studio could decide whether part two should be made available on Amazon (if they are willing to pay for them) or whether it should be released in the theater.
The Tomorrow War 2 Plot
The story of “The Tomorrow War,” is now closed. The future war can be stopped because Dan Forester, his companions, have already defeated aliens in the past.
Of course, a sequel could simply claim that another spaceship was hiding under the Russian ice. Dan did not find it. Because the film ends with no connection to the future, we can’t be certain that the war was stopped. It might be like the Terminator movies: The day was delayed, but not prevented.
Another option is to show more of the war, and it could be played before or during “The Tomorrow War”. Chris McKay, however, suggests a different plot for a sequel. Another film would show more about the Whitespikes’ homeworlds and explain how they evolved. Additionally, time travel is a possibility.
