The rescue’ has put the finishing touch to the second season of The Mandalorian, which is now available in full on Disney + and with it the revelation of two unexpected and great cameos from the Star Wars franchise.

Mando ( Pedro Pascal ) has managed to rescue Grogu from the hands of Moff Gideon ( Giancarlo Esposito ), not without first performing several action sequences. But it is when the end of the episode comes when we see that a person, who is mentioned as a Jedi, arrives on the ship to save them from some powerful dark imperial soldiers.

This is when it is revealed to be none other than Luke Skywalker ( Mark Hamill ), but a digital film version of Star Wars: Episode VI – Return of the Jedi. He is the Jedi chosen to be Baby Yoda’s master.

After a sad goodbye, Grogu approaches R2-D2, another of Star Wars’ unexpected cameos, and then leaves with Luke as he says goodbye to Mando, who has removed his mask for Grogu himself.

We still do not know how this will affect the third season, which will premiere at the end of 2021. Will it be set a few years later? Will we still see Mando embark on missions across the galaxy? It only remains to wait and find out the fate of little Baby Yoda that we hope to see soon in this new installment.
