
Rafal Augustyniak transfer to Warsaw’s Legia
Rafal Augustyniak has left Russian club Ural of Yekaterinburg and become a new player of the capital’s club – Legia Warsaw. The 28-year-old has signed a contract until June 30, 2025, with the possibility of extension, the club announced on its official website.
In addition to his career in Russia, Augustyniak has managed to play for domestic clubs Widzew Łódź, Jagiellonia Białystok and Miedzi Legnica. For the club from Yekaterinburg, the player has played since 2019, in which he managed to play 88 games and score nine goals.
“The transfer of Rafal Augustyniak was one of the most important decisions of the club in the summer transfer window. We acquired a player with a strong mentality and the personality of a leader on the field and in the locker room, who will add confidence and stability to the team. Rafal has these qualities, he also stands out with very good motor skills and can play in two positions: midfielder or central defender. Augustyniak, also stated that he wants to start training with the team to earn his place in the team. Recall that the player played for the Polish national team in March 2021 – in an away match against England (1:2) in a World Cup qualifying tournament.
