Riverdale Season 6

Though Riverdale season 5 part 2 isn’t set to atmosphere until August, the inventor of the CW series is currently teasing fans about what is to come in season 6. The puzzle teen drama series is a dark interpretation of ArchieComics and has grown into one of the very successful shows on the network. Thus far, the first five seasons have followed Archie Andrews (KJ Apa) along with the gang carrying on murders, cults, serial killers, and more mysteries that seem to always irritate the town of Riverdale.

The first portion of Riverdale season 5 aired in January 2021, after a pandemic-related shutdown that caused showrunners to wrap the season 4 story earlier than expected. This caused the planned seven-year time jump between seasons 4 and 5 to be delayed. Instead, the time jump happened between episodes 3 and 4 of 5. The Riverdale characters came back into the city as educators at their former high school after losing touch for nearly a decade. Apart from Archie, the full gang contains Jughead Jones (Cole Sprouse), Veronica Lodge (Camila Mendes), Betty Cooper (Lili Reinhart), Toni Topaz (Vanessa Morgan), along with Cheryl Blossom (Madelaine Petsch).

Part 2 will air on August 11 on The CW, and Riverdale founder Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa celebrated the wrapping of filming on Instagram. And at the end of this post, he gave a very small tease into what fans can expect from season 6. The article caption reads, “Really enthusiastic about our next batch of episodes. They are some of the best we’ve done. And then, a break. And then…,” followed by numerous emojis, such as an earthly head, a tornado, a fire, and a wedding ring, apparently teasing what’s to come after season 5 part 2. Check out Aguirre-Sacasa’s complete article below:

The picture with the post included the entire Riverdale cast aside from Sprouse, who was noticeably missing. Whether that is foreshadowing or he just missed the photograph is not yet been determined. Considering Aguirre-Sacasa’s previous announcement about a “possibly tragic fate of one of the major characters that we’ve known since Season 1,” however, Jughead might be in trouble.

Dependent on the emoji audience, season 6 of Riverdale will seemingly show the gang getting themselves into even more trouble. Jughead disappeared from the mid-season finale, leaving just a pool of blood behind, which makes his absence from Aguirre-Sacasa’s photograph even more suspicious, and Betty’s still decided to locate Polly and resolve the Lonely Highway situation, so there are lots of material for season 5 part 2 and season 6 to work with. Riverdale fans shouldn’t count out a future season that includes alien abductions, natural disasters, and perhaps even a marriage.
