Outer Banks Season 2

Netflix has introduced the very first look pictures for Outer Banks season 2 – with The Pogues (especially John B and Sarah) once again having to run for their lives. Made by Josh Pate, Jonas Pate, and Shannon Burke, the action-mystery series debuted on April 15, 2020. Despite small fanfare, the show followed in Stranger Things’ footsteps to become a surprise, word hit. Its blend of sun-soaked romances, likable and sympathetic characters, and Goonies-Esque experience proved a binge-worthy treat for many and made it one of the best Netflix shows of 2020. As a result, Netflix renewed Outer Banks to get Another season.

Founded by Chase Stokes, Outer Banks followed John B because he attempted to find $400 million in hidden gold and resolve how it connected to his father’s disappearance. Place in a coastal town in North Carolina, he ultimately roped a group of friends known as Pogues into the quest. They were comprised of Madison Bailey’s Kiara, Jonathan Daviss’s Pope, and Rudy Pankow’s JJ. A path of murder and mayhem soon followed as the gang clashed with rich elites called Kooks and forces eager to conquer them into the golden by any means necessary. Though eventually successful, the ending of Outer Banks season 1 saw the golden slip through their grip amid painful betrayals. Surviving a near-death experience, however, John B and star-crossed lover, Sarah Cameron (Madelyn Cline), decided to track the treasure to The Bahamas.

With filming having officially wrapped on Outer Banks season 2, As if the group hadn’t completed enough running from and knowingly dodging threat, the routine seemed set to continue from the sophomore outing. Although John B and Sarah might be seen enjoying a brief respite on a beach, they were also glimpsed radically imposing something. In the same way, the popular pairing of JJ and Kiara also seemed to be on the run. In normal fashion, JJ appeared to thrive in the chaos while Kiara suffered it with a more traditional, terrified response.

Outer Banks Season 2

The image reaffirmed that The Pogues would remain separated – at least for the early episodes. Regardless of the gold leaving town (with John B and Sarah in pursuit), matters looked just as dramatic in the Outer Banks. Kiara, JJ, and Pope seemed to be back at college along with likely supplying long-distant support and pay for his or her friend. Together with Pope no doubt excited to receive his previously-sacrificed academic chances back on the right track, that’ll likely prove a stressed complication to matters. It also appeared like his family life would be more deeply researched, together with him visiting his aging Me-Maw (Carol Sutton).

As though this was not enough, the villainous Ward Cameron (Charles Esten) and Rafe (Drew Starkey) were glimpsed in a funeral setting. This will almost certainly be the memorial for Sheriff Peterkin (Adina Porter), whose murder they committed. The brazen level of hypocrisy demonstrated in support of concealing their dark secrets will no doubt only fuel fans’ hate of this pair in upcoming episodes. Therefore, many will already be expecting some sort of justice to befall them in Outer Banks season 2.

In terms of those episodes, the following was also offered from the show’s creators: “Season 2 is going to examine our crew like never before. We have turned up the dial on what fans adored about Season 1 – more mystery, more romance and greater stakes. It’s a complete throttle, action-packed adventure and these pictures provide a glimpse in the following phase for our Pogues. We all can say for now is buckle up, it’s going to be a wild ride.” Based on the aforementioned pictures, that would most likely seem to be the case. As such, fans will undoubtedly be even more eager for Outer Banks and its beloved characters to officially return.
