Last year after the release of Mindhunter Season two, fans were shocked when they discovered that Netflix is ending its contract with all the stars and put the show on indefinite hold. Nonetheless, it is not canceled formally and Speculations concerning the renewal of Mindhunter Season 3 are continuing.

According to a recent report David Fincher is in talks with Netflix to restore the series, i.e., Mindhunter Season 3. Small Screen reported that they have been advised that the signs for a third season are looking quite good and both parties are thinking about moving the project forward.

“Fincher and Netflix are getting closer to a deal on Mindhunter Season 3,” noted Small Display’s source.

Before it was reported several times that the executive producer David Fincher had voiced his unwillingness to produce Mindhunter Season 3. At that moment, he was busy with the Netflix film Mank and the next season of Love, Death & Robots.

“He (David Fincher) may revisit Mindhunter again later on, but at the meantime felt that it was not fair to the performers to maintain them from trying another job while he was researching new work of his,” stated a Netflix spokesperson at the moment.

To the gladden fans, if we return, David Fincher told, “Listen, to get the viewership that it had, it was a very costly show. We talked about,’ End Mank and then see how you are feeling,’ but I frankly don’t think we’re likely to be in a position to do it for less than I did year two. And on some level, you have to be realistic — bucks have to equivalent eyeballs.”

And it now seems that Fincher trying to return with the psychological crime thriller series Mindhunter Season 3.
