- Foley spent Christmas and New Years in a hotel away from his family
We regret to announce that former fighter Mick Foley has confirmed that he has COVID-19 for several days. The WWE Hall of Fame member posted a video on his Twitter account explaining the details of his positive diagnosis, as well as the actions he took in recent weeks (Transcript courtesy of Fightful ).
“I tested positive for COVID after a virtual signature made on December 12,” Foley clarified in the video. There were two people in the same room as me, and they were both wearing masks. In my case, I took mine out so it wouldn’t affect my work in the virtual firm. One of the workers who was with me presented symptoms that same night and they warned me that he received a positive diagnosis. ”
I tested positive for COVID following a December virtual signing, and have been isolating in a hotel room for the past 18 days.
Please continue to take this virus seriously – mask up, social distance, look out for one another.
Wishing all of you a happy, healthy new year. pic.twitter.com/WFcM8iuUmi

Mick Foley clarified that he waited several days before taking an exam, and as soon as he tested positive, he was sent to a hotel in the area. ” I’ve been in this hotel room for 18 days,” Foley said. “It hasn’t been much fun. Beyond the usual symptoms of this disease, I missed the opportunity to celebrate Christmas and New Years’ with my family. I want everyone to take this seriously.” The fighter is known by characters like “Mankind” or “Cactus Jack” who also clarified that he has undergone multiple controls and care before contracting the disease.
“A lot of people won’t like the fact that I have contracted the virus after insisting on the use of masks and social distancing,” Foley explained. “I did the best I could, but it was not enough. I did not make public appearances of any kind. In the last year I only attended four virtual signings, three reality shows, two personal encounters, I recorded a commercial, and I appeared only once in WWE. I exposed myself to twelve COVID exams and tried to take them as seriously as possible, but all to no avail. There are vaccines and better days on the horizon, but there are still difficult times. I am hopeful that 2021 will be a better year than 2020 in that sense”.
The philsportsnews team wishes Mick Foley a speedy recovery.
