‘Making a Murderer’ is an American true crime documentary television series brimming with murder riddles. It is written and directed by Moira Demos and Laura Ricciardi.
The first season aired on Netflix on December 18, 2015. Filmed over the course of 10 years, the filmmakers had to move back and forth from New York to Wisconsin during filming.
Netflix released the first episode both on YouTube and Netflix, which it’d never done before for any other original programmers. Thereafter, the 10-episode second season premiered on October 19, 2018.

The Plot Of Making A Murderer Season 3
The show portrays the story of Steven Avery, residing in Manitovoc County, Wisconsin, who serves 18 years in prison for fallacious conviction of sexual assault and attempted murder of Penny Beerntsen.
Later, he is charged in 2005, and convicted in 2007, for the murder of Teresa Halbach. Bridged, is a story of Brendan Dassey, convicted as an accessory in the murder.
The first season documents the period between 1985 and 2007, depicting Avery’s 1985 arrest, conviction, exoneration and conviction in 2003. He then files a civil lawsuit against Manitovoc County and several other officials associated with his arrest.
The second season looks into the upshot of the arrests of both Avery’s and Dassey while focusing on their families. It also examines the investigation and conclusion of Avery’s new counsel Kathleen Zellner, who substantiates Avery’s theory of innocence.
Likewise, Dassey’s defence team attempts to prove in court that his statement was coerced.
