Loki could be the biggest hit of all of the Marvel Studios series released on Disney+ so far. The show is barely out of the gate, and lovers are already wondering if there will be a Loki period two.

Of all the Marvel Studios shows in the works, Loki has the most potential for a second season because the main character today exists outside the current timeline. The Loki we all know died in Avengers: Infinity War, therefore there is no way his character can move forward in the present timeline.

However, after stealing the Tesseract (again) in Avengers: Endgame, the God of Mischief created a new branch of time where he is still alive and may do as he pleases (kind of).

Loki Season 2 Is More Possible Than With Any Other Disney+ Series

WandaVision finishes with a tie-in to Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness, where Scarlet Witch will last her story. Newly minted Captain America Sam Wilson will probably be observed later in the Avengers movie, though his narrative could also continue at a Disney+ series.

Loki is on an island in the middle of the space-time continuum. Sure, he is working with the bureaucratic Time Variance Authority to”fix” the mess he made when his deadline branched off, but it doesn’t indicate that the problem has to be fixed straight away.

It might take a lot of time to tell the story of how Loki and the TVA manage to fix the deadline, or it could take as long as star Tom Hiddleston wants to stay in the function. Then, another actor could take over the role so that the series could continue. That is especially easy with a shape-shifting character such as Loki.

Not only has the show established that Loki is in his timeline now, however, the show has also confirmed that Loki is gender-fluid, so the character could appear as a female in a new incarnation to keep the series going.

Marvel has not published any information regarding Loki season 2 yet, but fans have to expect an announcement at some point during the series’s six-episode run to help keep the momentum going.
