SC East Bengal, coached by Robbie Faller, who has been troubled by poor level refereeing in the current Indian Super League (ISL), has lodged a complaint with the AIFF on Friday as it has suffered major losses in the last few matches. SC East Bengal, the last team to enter the ISL after arch-rival Mohan Bagan, have lost three consecutive points and are yet to score their first goal in four matches.
SC East Bengal, ranked last in the points table, opened their account in a tight draw match against Jamshedpur FC on Thursday. In this match, Eugensen was ruled out by showing the second yellow card to Lingado. The SCEB official said, ‘As a club, we have shared our response with the AIFF. It is expected that the referee level should be of good quality to maintain the spirit of the game in the rest of the tournament.
Faller had earlier criticized the refereeing level for not giving him two penalties in his match against Northeast United FC. Faller had said, ‘I felt that that penalty had been done. I do not think any decision has gone in our favor. Everyone appeared against us. We just went there and were defending somehow. We did not allow the goal and it was necessary for us to score. Let us know that the next match of SC East Bengal will be against Hyderabad at Tilak Maidan Stadium on Tuesday.
East Bengal won the first point with 10 players

The legendary Liverpool man said after the match, ‘I tried to talk to the officials, but they were not listening. this is absurd. There is a need to improve the level of referring. We felt that we are playing against 12 players.
