I Care a Lot is a darkly comic satire directed by J Blakeson that stars Rosamund Pike, Peter Dinklage, Eiza Gonzalez, and Chris Messina is the fourth movie bought by Netflix in the Toronto Film Festival. The right of the movie were sold for $10 million dollars. I Care a Lot is a comedy, drama thriller which makes the audience pause, think, and admire the work protagonist.

Plot of I Care a Lot

Rosamund Pike plays the role of Marla Grayson. A conniving woman who mints money of senior citizens by declaring them unfit for taking decisions and trapping them in her permanent care. She then becomes their guardian — and sticks them in a rest home, so that she can slowly but surely suck away their assets.She’s a sociopath, a predator who will toss someone’s life into the trash.

Marla and her partner in crime Fran one day stumble upon another goose Jennifer Peterson who has no family and a fortune to be mined. She is then placed into Berkshire Oaks Senior Living facility, where she’s greeted by a row of creepy friendly nurses and assistants, stripped of her cell phone, and of course put on a tranquilizing drugs. She is seen as a dementia patient in this facility now.

But then there is a twist, Roman Lunyov, played by Peter Dinklage is an underworld businessman who calls out her scam and threatens her.

Release Date of I Care a Lot

The film had its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival on September 12, 2020. After Netflix bought its rights, the film will be releasing on the OTT platform on February 19, 2021.
